How it works
Four steps to a shared inbox
No installation on computers, no email migration. Teamox connects to your existing Microsoft 365. Most teams are ready within an hour.
Step 1
Sign up with Microsoft
Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account. No new password, no form. Your account automatically becomes the administrator.
Step 2
Connect mailboxes
Your Microsoft 365 administrator approves Teamox once (admin consent) and restricts access to the shared mailboxes. Five minutes with our guide.
Step 3
Open Teamox in Teams
Add Teamox as an app in Microsoft Teams, from the Teams store or as a package from the setup wizard. The shared inbox appears as a tab in the left bar.
Step 4
Invite your team
Invite colleagues by link and assign them to teams, as editors or observers. Everyone signs in with their Microsoft account.
Setup wizard
The wizard takes you by the hand
After signing up, the wizard opens and shows for each step what to do and whether it worked. The part for your Microsoft 365 administrator can be passed on as a link.
- Ready-made approval link for admin consent, with an explanation of every permission
- Prepared PowerShell command for the Application Access Policy with your addresses
- “Check access” reports per mailbox whether everything is in place
- Teams app package to download in case the store is blocked in your organisation
- Invitation links for the team, roles per mailbox
For IT
What your Microsoft 365 administrator wants to know
Which permissions does Teamox need?
Read and send email (Mail.ReadWrite, Mail.Send), read users (User.Read.All) and send Teams notifications (TeamsActivity.Send). For the Teams chat on @-mentions additionally the delegated Chat.ReadWrite, voluntarily per user.
Which mailboxes does Teamox access?
Only the ones you release via Application Access Policy. All other mailboxes of your organisation stay invisible to Teamox. You can verify this any time with Get-ApplicationAccessPolicy.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Teamox is a Teams app and runs in the browser, in the Teams desktop client and in the Teams mobile app. There is no software on workstations and no server on your side.
How do users sign in?
Via single sign-on with their Microsoft account. In Teams this happens invisibly. Anyone without an account in your tenant cannot get in.
